A report this week in the Wall Street Journal provides further indication of the Obama administration’s persecutory attitude toward America’s gun owners. The newspaper claimed emails from a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request show that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents used local police officers in Southern California to drive around the parking lot of a large gun show to “collect all of the cars’ information.”

I can't say this loud enough, if you have a non commercial automobile, TAKE the damn commercial plates OFF it. I know, you had no clue they are commercial plates. Leave that class "D" commercial license at home as well. Unless of course you're driving some vehicle with commercial business markings. As soon as you attach those stupid commercial "motor vehicle" plates, you JUST DECLARED the damn thing to be a commercial vehicle. I know, you had no clue. It's actually the DCV or department of commercial vehicles. The legal term "motor vehicle" legally means commercial vehicle. Yes. It really DOES. Whether you realize it or not.

I left the People's Republik of Kommifornia in 1971. Back then, if you owned a pick up, you could buy non-commercial plates for it and drive it around like that. However, if you dared to haul so much as a small toolbox in the bed and got stopped by the popo there was a large fine for using a vehicle with non-commercial tags to do commercial stuff... thus, the use of commercial plates, they cost more, on vehicles not doing commercial stuff. I doubt they've loosened up the rules since then.
Back to the matter at hand: Law enforcement has been committing this sort of harassment for years, decades, all over the country. Nothing new to see here.
