Republican governor with an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, made a pitch for gun control. “I've said this time and time again,” Israel began.
only the PRO 2A elected sheriff can save us from a euro/UK outcome...look at them now, male cops involved in muslim child grooming, harassing female cop who investigates child grooming, and carte blanche with their subjects who they tell to pound sand regularly. |

Democrat politician posing as law enforcement surrounded by Republicans throws his "A" NRA rating in the bin

"“I’m a cop. I’m not a politician,” Israel said at the time. “I leave the tactics to the pros. Roger Stone wouldn’t tell me how to direct the SWAT team . . . and I wouldn’t tell him how to consult on campaigns.”"In office, he has been particularly outspoken about gun policy. In 2013, the Florida Sheriffs Association released a statement supporting the state’s stand-your-ground law following the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin. Israel, |

however, broke from his fellow law enforcers, advocating for a narrower version of the law.
“The stand-your-ground law effectively tied the hands of the law enforcement investigation in Zimmerman’s fatal shooting of 17yo Trayvon Martin — and it will continue to do so until this law is fixed,”
"Israel has been equally vocal about other control measures, particularly with individuals suffering from mental disabilities.
“How many more innocent lives must perish before our legislators pass meaningful and common sense gun legislation?” he wrote in 2017. “How many more tragic attacks like those at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Sandy Hook Elementary and the Pulse nightclub need to occur before rational thought prevails?”" |

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/feb/16/florida-shooting-fbi-nikolas-cruz A video captured by a neighbor showed him shooting a BB gun in his back yard; he was wearing only boxer shorts and one of the Make America Great Again caps associated with Donald Trump’s campaign slogan. In that time, Cruz revealed himself to have certain obsessions. He liked to hurt animals and used a BB gun to shoot squirrels, frogs, even neighbors’ chickens. He would drive sticks down rabbit warrens in the hope of skewering the inhabitants."Trouble followed Cruz into school. He was expelled last year from Stoneman Douglas –where he so fatefully returned this week – for reasons that remain unclear but could have included violence and bringing in a knife.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/feb/16/florida-suspect-questions-raised-over-outcast-everyone-speculated-about Many other disturbing posts were made by someone under the same name. CNN reported that other comments he posted included “I whana [sic] shoot people with my AR-15 [the gun used in the killing spree]”, and “I wanna die Fighting killing **** ton [sic] of people”. An Instagram account associated with the same name included photos of firearms. “Nikolas Cruz” is also said to have insulted Muslims and black people online.
The worrying behaviour was not limited to what appears to be Cruz’s social media footprint. The teenager had disciplinary issues at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school, which saw him expelled. Florida media |

reported that teachers were worried about Cruz and that he was not allowed on campus with a backpack, while fellow pupils were wary of him. “Everyone in the school that knew him speculated about him,” she said.
Victoria Olvera, also 17, said: “He just changed. As far as I knew, he was like a future school shooter.” Another student told CNN: “A lot of people were saying that it was going to be him. All the kids joked … saying he was the one that screwed up at school, but it turns out everyone predicted it. That’s crazy.” The retired FBI assistant director Ron Hosko told the Associated Press: “They owe us some more detail on what they did.” However, he cautioned: “They could spend their entire workforce tracking down internet exchanges |

that are never going to go anywhere.”
Agents receive tens of thousands of tips each year and more than 10,000 assessments are opened on potentially viable threats.
The statistics provide some explanation as to how Cruz may have slipped through the net but will provide little comfort to those in mourning. |

here in the northwest we had a school shooting at thurston high, by kip kinkel May 21, 1998, a paranoid schizo. A security expert here said he went to a school security conference in littleton colorado after that, and he was to explain his experience with this incident. If you remember columbine high school is in littleton. He was told by the Littleton first responders, "oh you don't understand, that is your community...that kind of thing doesn't happen here in ours". They totally blew him off... The irony of that is just astounding. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? [...] The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!" —Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago (Chapter 1 "Arrest") |
