“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” reads the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
However, I ask: Why so many guns? Why high-capacity magazines and clips? Why military-style guns? Why rapid firing? Why concealed guns? I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can offer answers to these questions. |

"Why so many guns? Why high-capacity magazines and clips? Why military-style guns? Why rapid firing? Why concealed guns?"
Typical liberal ninny.
The Second Amendment guarantees our natural right to bear arms suitable for militia use.
The author assumes that there is a point zero where no rights exist, then proceeds to create a framework of limits on 'rights' the government may (not shall) grant.
Bass ackwards.

The second amendment really does not lend itself to wide interpretation. Those who "interpret" it want to twist it to mean something contrary to what it actually means. If you have a good dictionary you can find out what WORDS MEAN, and then you won't need an "interpretation." Because you will COMPREHEND what it means. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all — security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. — EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens] |
