Colorado is now the fifteenth state to sign a red flag bill into law. Twenty-nine other states are also considering such legislation. Colorado’s Democratic Governor, Jared Polis, signed HB 1177, the state’s red flag bill, into law. The legislation will take effect in 2020.
This new red flag law presents an interesting scenario because it 2/3 of Colorado’s counties have become Second Amendment sanctuary counties. If somebody were to put a red flag on you and the judge finds that you're a risk to yourself or others you have 14 days for a hearing to prove your innocence, where it used to be up to the government to prove you guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. |

Constitutional Rights are to be served by the state, not suppressed by it. The Tyrannical Super State demands that you obey... |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that `if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration...that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." --Samuel Adams, speech in Boston, 1771 |
