The Texas open carry law which takes affect in 20 days allows LEOs to stop anyone openly carrying a firearm and ask to see their carry permit.
I asked a constable what they will do when open carry takes affect, and he said that only radicals would open carry and he will ask anyone he sees with a gun to produce their carry permit.
Make it objectionable enough to open carry and you can stop most people from exercising that right.
Open carry should not require any permit as in many states where it has always been legal or was legal for decades without any problems. |
