On Friday, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced the opening salvo in his attack on the Second Amendment. Having been in office for only a couple of weeks, the newly-minted Governor is following through on his campaign rhetoric by going after lawful gun owners. Murphy declared that he is rolling back the executive orders issued by previous Governor Chris Christie.
Christie sought to improve concealed carry permitting by more clearly defining the “justifiable need” standard. Governor Murphy is changing course and shelving those reforms. |
