Earlier this month, presidential contender Hillary Clinton reacted to the Roseburg, Ore., shooting spree by proposing four new gun-control laws. And last week, California lieutenant governor and gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom took the lead on the issue in the state by announcing a drive to put a firearms-control initiative on the November 2016 ballot.
Along with a group of activists called the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Newsom unveiled a measure that would, among other provisions, require gun owners who own magazines holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition to turn them in to police, sell them to licensed firearm dealers or move them out of California. |

I can just see all the gang bangers from east L.A. rushing to turn in their 10+ magazines, and all the other illegal guns they now have. Are you serious Newsom? These miscreants don 't obey any laws now, what makes you think another law will make any difference? |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
