Thailand has the highest reported rate of gun-related deaths in Southeast Asia - almost 50 percent more gun homicides than the Philippines. And with 7.48 registered violent gun deaths per 100,000 people, the figure is also twice as high as that of the US, which had 3.55 deaths per 100,000 people in the same year, according to 2013 data provided by the University of Washington's Institute for Health and Metric Evaluation. |

"occasionally ordered the surrender of handguns and rifles", huh?
With about the same compliance rate as CT and NY, I presume.
Funny how human nature works.... |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
