Well into last night’s three-hour Republican donnybrook, which appeared to have been crafted to turn out that way by CNN, Sen. Marco Rubio simply nailed it on the question of gun control, and it was a remark that far too many of his Capitol Hill colleagues, especially on the other side of the aisle, don’t get.
“First of all,” Rubio stated matter-of-factly, “the only people that follow the law are law abiding people. Criminals, by definition, ignore the law, so you can pass all the gun laws in the world — like the left wants — (and) criminals are going to ignore it because they are criminals.” |

however, he told an English audience he was for the wall, and ceasing illegal immigration then told a Spanish audience the exact opposite, later claiming he speaks spanish for clear communication purposes, so no misunderstanding.
The real contender Cruz also originally believed birthright citizenship should be left alone, not pursued by Conservatives...but later changed his mind that a Constitutional Amendment should be enacted to eliminate the destruction of this ...much like Chinese legislator in canada ended theirs after throngs of chinese women were flying over to drop babies for canadian citizenship. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy ... censorship. When any government, or any church, for that matter, undertakes to say to it's subjects, 'This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,' the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything. You cannot conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him." --Robert A. Heinlein, "Revolt in 2100" (Pg. 68-69, Baen Books paperback edition, 1999 printing) |
