The bill of rights exists to PROHIBIT the government from abridging certain rights. It does not exist to ENCOURAGE government from doing so, it is a list of COMMANDS.
And, the "fire in a crowded theater" thing again? Still? This shibboleth has been debunked so many times it's aggravating that idiot pols are still parroting it. |
