"Stop and frisk worked," Trump said Thursday morning during an appearance on Fox & Friends, referring to the policy in New York that was scrapped as well as ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge. Police are "proactive, and if they see a person possibly with a gun or they think they have a gun, they will see the person and they'll look and they'll take the gun away. They'll stop, they'll frisk and they'll take the gun away, and they won't have anything to shoot with." |

" ' ... They'll stop, they'll frisk and they'll take the gun away, and they won't have anything to shoot with.' "
Oh, NATURALLY they will ONLY "stop & frisk" blacks, never never never any other ethnic group--'specially NOT whites!!!
Somehow I must have missed Trump saying they stop only blacks.
Some how Trump must have missed a recent court decision declaring stop & frisk ellegal.
Politicians are, in general, dingbats. And the media people who report on them are worse. |

" ... stop & frisk ellegal." "Ellegal" should read "illegal," of course.

Stop and frisk maybe illegal, but why would it ever occur if the person is carrying legally? Wouldn't the person state, "I have a license to carry," and then cooperate with LEO? |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd. — Alexis de Tocqueville |
