Uber drivers can no longer carry guns while on duty, according to a new policy rolled out this month.
The San Francisco–based company said Friday it has banned all firearms in cars providing rides through its app, the Associated Press reported. The new policy, which went into effect June 10, also applies to Uber affiliates and replaces a practice of deferring to local laws. |

Good luck with that one.
Two things will now happen:
1) UBER drivers will ignore the policy, or
2) Many UBER drivers will simply quit. |

I won't bother giving my money to Uber. Regular ol' taxis have worked just fine for me when I've needed one. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
