"As the school day was ending at Cobb County's Smitha Middle School on Monday, a seventh-grader handed off a loaded .22-caliber pistol to his classmate, and campus officials nabbed them both, a school district official said Wednesday."
"Both boys, ages 12 and 13, were charged with possession of a firearm on campus and expelled from school. They were sent to the county Youth Detention Center, school district spokesman Jay Dillon said."
