Pennsylvania lawmakers are considering a bill to create a statewide firearm registry. Under the "firearm registration act" owners would have to provide state police with the make, model, and serial number of all guns. They would also be subject to an annual background check. They'd also be required to submit fingerprints and photographs of their guns - and pay a $10 fee to state police for the processing of such information.

The Law of the Land is the Constitution as it is written. You don't vote on, charge a fee for, or give permission to law abiding citizens to exercise Constitutional rights.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. — James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46 |
