Yet another another example of the increasing alienation of our police forces/procedures from the public they're charged to protect. SWAT interventions - because of their inherent perils - ought to be the "last resort" of PDs everywhere. Yet the numbers of these actions, (approaching 100K/yr) continue to climb yearly even as violent crime numbers decline.
I suspect we're reaping a harvest of discord deliberately sown by political elements seeking to change America into a police state. |
