Paris attack driver ‘had firearms license’ despite being known to police
The driver who rammed his car into a police van in the busy heart of Paris on Monday had a firearms license despite being on France’s terror watch list for suspected radicalism.
According to reports quoting his father, the attacker, who drove a car laden with hand guns, gas canisters and a Kalashnikov rifle at police, had been issued a sporting license for firearms and had registered a weapon before being put under surveillance in 2015.
