Attorney General Hector Balderas says law enforcement agencies refusing to enforce the state's new gun law could face serious consequences. Senate Bill 8 was signed into law by the governor earlier this month. It requires background checks for all guns sold privately and at gun shows.

Should there be serious consequences for elected servants that willfully break the Oath of Office by willfully disregarding the Constitution, and willfully legislating unconstitutional laws, then demand compliance by issuing, to those that have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution, an order to go and knowingly deprive law abiding citizens of their rights? TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242 explains the consequences for such decisions..
