No. Per the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments, you can't abridge my fundamental rights simply because you don't like them.
You claim to be for "change", but D.C. v. Heller (2008) says that "[T]he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table."

Yes, we must reduce gun violence. If we all put our heads together and think, there must be some way we can think of to get killers to switch to other kinds of weapons. It won't save any lives, but at least they won't be _gun_ violence victims. Mission accomplished! |
