Democrat Beto O'Rourke pushed back on attacks from Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz that he supports revoking Americans' right to own guns, saying he "fully" supports the Second Amendment.
O'Rourke supports judges "that would undermine and effectively write the Second Amendment out of the Constitution," Cruz said during the first debate with O'Rourke, who is challenging Cruz for his Senate seat in Texas.
Cruz added that O'Rourke's position on the Second Amendment is "radical" and extreme," eliciting a "that's not true" from O'Rourke. |

He supports the second amendment until he doesn't.
Democrats like O'Rourke will claim to support the second amendment to get elected. They might even vote favorably on bills where their vote doesn't matter.
When their vote matters like the 1996 gun control act they will vote with the other democrats to restrict our rights.
Don't ever trust a democrat to protect our gun rights. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. — Thomas Jefferson, Encyclopedia of T. Jefferson, 318, Foley, Ed., reissued 1967. |
