The soul of America is dying. Hate, fear and guns — a deadly combination.
It didn’t have to be this way.
What if the U.S. Supreme Court had ruled 4-5 instead of 5-4 on the 2008 Heller case that ultimately decided an “individual,” outside of a “militia,” had the right to bear arms?
What if Congress governed with the understanding that the Second Amendment, in accordance with the Heller decision, does not entitle an individual “to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose”? |

"The soul of America is dying.".......what damnable tripe. We've had guns for 240 years in America. We are ALL part of the "unorganized militia", although to be blunt, the second amendment states plainly "the right of the people...." That is who owns the right----THE PEOPLE. All the sophistry the libtards try to foist on us.....and really, it's so simple. The plain meaning of the word, not over analyzed specious asshattery. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
