But the tense political climate hasn’t stopped Levi Strauss & Co from asking customers to refrain from bringing guns into its U.S. stores even when local law allows them to.
Levi Strauss Chief Executive Chip Bergh made the request in an open letter to customers posted on LinkedIn on Wednesday, aware of the potential to anger many customers, and is seeking to reassure them by saying the move is all about safety and not a political statement.
“It’s not an anti-Second Amendment thing,” Bergh told Fortune in an exclusive interview. The denim apparel maker stopped short of issuing an outright ban on firearms. |

| Strauss donated money to fight to keep Missouri a No-Issue state back in the 1990s, which is the reason why I haven't bought anything named Levi's or Dockers in almost 20 years. |

That's fine. I haven't worn Levi's in years.
I'm more of a Duluth Trading guy anyway. Their clothing fits better with IWB holsters, plus there's extra pockets for knives, flashlights, a spare mag and other various items one might need to extract their bacon from the fire.
Oh, and their jackets........their jackets have more pockets than a platoon of kangaroos to carry extra stuff in, plus they'll conceal a Deagle without printing.
So the hell with Levi Strauss and their metro-wear.

Haven't bought Levis since they quit making 'em here.
Get mine from All American Clothing Co. A few bucks difference for made in USA. |

| Alabama, a notable pro-gun state, is covered up in "no firearms allowed," signs. The purpose seems to be if someone is fearful of guns, the bus owner can ask the gun carrier to leave, maybe some liability concerns as well. The upside is that every gun owner learns to ignore the signs and carry anyway. Occasionally a boycott is worth while, more often just know that guns are being carried whether there's a sign forbidding it or not. |
