VA: Attorney General’s response to 2nd Amendment sanctuary resolutions: ‘Gun safety laws will be followed’

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring has responded to the trend of Virginia counties passing Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions ahead of next year’s General Assembly, saying they are being "ginned up by the gun lobby" and that any new gun laws passed will be enforced.

Following the November's election, which saw Democrats take control of both the state House and Senate, the expectation is lawmakers will pass a number of gun control measures in 2020 for Democratic Governor Ralph Northam to sign.

These are not gun safety laws. They have nothing to do with gun safety.

Calling them gun safety laws does not change what they are. They are. They are restrictions on law abiding citizens

Alrighty then…So let the deprivation of rights begin. Apparently the privileged class that is above the law has this all figured out. Well, ok then. Wouldn't it be fair if "Deprivation of Rights under the Color of Law be followed in return?

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
I have not one doubt, even if I am in agreement with the National Rifle Association, that that kind of record keeping procedure [gun registration] is the first step to eventual confiscation under one administration or another. —CHARLES MORGAN, DIRECTOR, WASHINGTON DC ACLU
