An Open Letter to the National Rifle Association
Dear Wayne LaPierre,
I would like to formally invite you to Flint to discuss the National Rifle Association's ideas for curbing gun violence in the city.
Frustrated with the escalating number of gun deaths in our city, I am at a loss for answers.
So, how about a gun registration that would allow us to track owners who can't safeguard their guns from theft or who are supplying firearms for crime?
Turns out, the NRA doesn't like that idea either.
(We register cars without too much hassle.)
Submitter's note: There is no right to drive.

Well Corey Salo, If you knew anything about the Constitution and the rights of the people in the US you would not post such BS. I certainly do have the RIGHT to drive on the public roads and without a license too. So get informed and help restore this Republic and stop telling lies. You can get some smarts here: http://www.lawfulpath.com/ref/DLbrief.shtml |

The Constitution, Second Amendment is my right to bear arms! Every Registration policy ends up in Confiscation! Ask 6 million Jews in Germany, The law abiding citizens of Australia, England and China. What you propose has already been enacted in Chicago, Detroit and Washington DC. These cities have the highest murder rates in the country, demonstrating that your suggestion is a documented FAILURE! Focus your energy on CRIMINAL CONTROL, Not on violating the civil rights of law abiding citizens! |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and `is excepted out of the general powers of government.' A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power." [Cockrum v. State, 24 Tex. 394, at 401-402 (1859)] |
