Memo to Mr. Lowe: When it comes to fundamental, constitutionally protected rights, it doesn't matter what ANYBODY wants - they are unalienable.
This is not a majoritarian political system, it is a constitutional representative republic wherein the Constitution sets the rules, and the rules say that government cannot, even as a surrogate for "what people want," abridge preexisting fundamental rights of the individual.
