The 2A was was/is a ticket to resist TYRANNY. There is appropriate federal authority over taxes, even on whiskey.
The founders resisted "TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION." If you elect a rep, he can propose tax laws .... if you don't like the laws, vote him out and put in the guy who will change the law ---- or run for office and do it yourself. |
