The only remaining question is whether any school board will have the guts or brains required to arm volunteer teachers. In 2013, Policeone.com did a survey of 15,000 police officers. Eighty percent of the officers agreed with arming and training volunteer teachers and administrators. Ninety percent agreed that casualties would be decreased if armed citizens were present at the outset of an active shooter incident. But what do police officers know about guns, violence and self-defense? |
