A Flint man who allegedly broke into homes on the city's east side and stole guns to sell on the street has pleaded guilty in Flint U.S. District Court.
Robert Burton, 33, pleaded guilty in September to felon in possession of a firearm. However, details of his crime have just recently been made public in recent days when prosecutors and his defense attorney filed sentencing memorandums in the case.
He was arrested after authorities said he sold a gun to an undercover officer and then traded another stolen gun to cover the cost of a tattoo, the sentencing memorandums show.
In August 2014, Burton sold a .357 revolver for $250 to an undercover cop, according to court documents.

He must be white that the Fed's actually stuck him with the Federal charge.
They could put thousands of Obama's constituents in prison for the same crime if they were so inclined. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero (42B.C) |
