A few weeks ago, there was a rally at the Capitol to stand in solidarity for workers' rights. At the last minute, I was asked to bring my portable sound device so those in attendance could hear those who were speaking. I went through the security checkpoint and had it held back — it is not allowed in the Capitol. And that is fine. I’m sure there are good reasons for that rule; the folks working those entrances are there for a purpose and they were doing their jobs. |

Baloney. The very idea that vetted, licensed concealed-carry permit holders, the most law-abiding people statistically in the country (and that includes POLICE), will suddently go nuts over a controversial proposal and start capping people, is the height of irrational paranoia. |

TO REMEMBER |
Resistance to sudden violence, for the preservation not only of my person, my limbs, and life, but of my property, is an indisputable right of nature which I have never surrendered to the public by the compact of society, and which perhaps, I could not surrender if I would. — JOHN ADAMS |
