Federal law prohibits creating a firearm registry. The reason for that law hasn't changed.
Nelson wants to trash a law that has constitutional value, i.e., it prevents our government from acquiring a tool whose ultimate use has historically been gun confiscation.
Senator Nelson apparently hasn't gotten the memo: "NO."
