I can see how people would be calling 911 on a regular basis because they’ve seen someone walking around with a gun, even if it’s holstered. Just a few days ago at the University of Texas at Arlington, there was a report of a man walking around with a gun. When the open-carry law goes into effect next year you can bet that there will be a lot more calls like that. And, when police officers show up, there’s a good possibility that someone will be shot.

It has long become tiresome to hear "conversations" about rights issues begin with "Should people be ALLOWED to...."

Viz rights, they are not ALLOWED. The conversation should rather begin with "Should government be allowed to...."

We now live in a United States that is philosophically upside-down.
