Were Jesus Christ alive today, not only would his presence mark the beginning of the end times, but he also probably wouldn't be a member of the National Rifle Association, according to an op-ed that ran on Reuters.com Friday.
"Evangelical Christians … may well be the key to shifting America's broken political dynamic around gun rights," wrote filmmaker Abigail Disney in her op-ed titled, "Jesus wouldn't join the NRA." |

Jesus said after Peter whacked off Malchus's ear " Put it back in it's place "(I.e. "holster your weapon".) NOT ban it or turn in in at the local government sword buyback ! Peter's sword was to protect himself from dange - was not needed to protect Jesus !. The short sword was the sidearm of the times - if Rome had made it to the current day, every Roman citizen would have the right to carry a gun ! Christ had told his disciples in his last hours with them: "...But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a sack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one" . We are certainly commanded not to murder, but God fully expects us to protect the life he gave us ! |

Facially idiotic. Jesus was not a "joiner", therefore nobody can presume what He would or would not "join". |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American... The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state government, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people. — Tench Coxe, Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788. |
