Guns and college campuses are a dangerous combination — as shown by an incident last month at the University of Florida.
On July 27, a gun was fired on the UF campus after an argument at a nearby bar. University police reported that the argument escalated into a fistfight in a campus parking lot, ending when a 25-year-old man allegedly pulled out a gun from his girlfriend’s purse and fired it into the ground.

Hold it. In your example, a physical assault was halted with a gun, and you want guns kept out so that physical assaults can continue??? |

So why have there not been problems with the half dozen or so states that currently allow guns on university property?
All the predictions by the panty wetters regarding reducing restrictions on concealed carry and gun ownership never happen. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
