Safety is top of mind for many BSU students after a man attacked a woman on campus over the weekend. The assault happened in the campus Lincoln Avenue parking garage. Officers are now searching for the man and students say they're hopeful police will catch him soon. Some BSU students who use the parking garage say they're worried. "Right when I was walking in here I was thinking, 'This is where that attack happened.' It's just scary because I do park here about three days a week and it was a girl that got attacked and it could have been anyone," said student Bethany Maze walking back to her car in the garage.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
As an individual, I believe, very strongly, that handguns should be banned and that there should be stringent, effective control of other firearms. However, as a judge, I know full well that the question of whether handguns can be sold is a political one, not an issue of products liability law, and that this is a matter for the legislatures, not the courts. The unconventional theories advanced in this case (and others) are totally without merit, a misuse of products liability laws. — Judge Buchmeyer, Patterson v. Gesellschaft, 1206 F.Supp. 1206, 1216 (N.D. Tex. 1985) |
