HEY Sharptongue!! The NRA has released a statement with regards to Philando Castile stating that they are waiting until they have all the facts before they will comment specifically. Given the tenuous and corrupt nature of the media these days, no sane person would criticize them for that....... But perhaps Mr. Sharptongue isn't so sane ...... |

Nowhere have I read that either of the deceased was a NRA member.
Furthermore, Alton Sterling was a convicted felon with a gun. The shooting community and the NRA does not offer any support to felons with guns. They are the primary problem causing much of the anti-gun sentiment.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
As an individual, I believe, very strongly, that handguns should be banned and that there should be stringent, effective control of other firearms. However, as a judge, I know full well that the question of whether handguns can be sold is a political one, not an issue of products liability law, and that this is a matter for the legislatures, not the courts. The unconventional theories advanced in this case (and others) are totally without merit, a misuse of products liability laws. — Judge Buchmeyer, Patterson v. Gesellschaft, 1206 F.Supp. 1206, 1216 (N.D. Tex. 1985) |
