“Within a 90-day period, it just wasn’t something we could address,” Plummer said Friday. “We were looking for immediate, actionable items and obviously that debate (on guns) continues with very little consensus.”
We asked Plummer if any task force members brought up the issues of gun laws, and he responded by saying the members were told at the start the focus of their work would be on actionable items. |

One-word answer: No.
The nation already had a 'debate' on guns, and the result was a constitutional command to government to keep its friggin' hands OFF. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that `if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration...that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." --Samuel Adams, speech in Boston, 1771 |
