    | Special treatment for only one. You or I would be facing a charge of 2nd degree murder. |

    | Murder requires premeditation. If this officer actually did enter a wrong apartment, as the story suggests, and shot the resident under the stated circumstances, then how was she supposed to have premeditated this? It clearly was a UNJUSTIFIED SHOOTING, but a D.A. overcharging the officer might result in a jury acquittal if the charge can't be proved ---- and it can't be proved.
 Prison time? Absolutly.

Cases like this are why laws should be written and enforced by clear headed people, not relatives of the deceased, or social justice warriors who are only out to avenge imagined wrongs.

                      | In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all — security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. — EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens] | | |
