How many times have contracting agents been designated as employers by the EEOC and other regulating bodies, with all of the required obligations for social security tax, withholdings, unemployment compensation contributions, minimum wage requirements.... because they interjected themselves too far into the details of a contractor's performance of a task. Methinks Lyft and Uber may be approaching these boundaries, if not overstepping them. |
