So, let’s break this down and explore the first part about “A well regulated Militia.” According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, a militia is “a group of people who are not part of the armed forces of a country but are trained like soldiers.” In America today, we do not have a militia and have not had one since the early 1900s.
We have the strongest military in the world, composed of powerful branches along with a coast guard and reserves. In short, we do not have a militia nor do we need one. |

| We currently have a war being fought on American soil. Its called ISIS and related Islamic Jihadists. Yes, the militia is all the people the same people as in the other Bill of Rights. Get a grip on your weenee brain cells. |

False suppositions for this guy's rant?
No militia? 10 USC Section 301.
Other weapons? How about privateers with warships and cannon?
Weapon efficacy? Flintlock v. musket
Not for citizens? The 2nd Amendment is in the Bill of Rights, meaninig that it applies to individual citizens. The prefatory clause lists only one purpose for the Right. You will find others set out in State Constitutions that pre-dated the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, including defense of that State, defense of self, and of others.
He's even stupider than Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, which, if you close your eyes and can't see it, it therefore believes it can't see you any more and so, won't eat you. |
