"A Hollis, N.H., man agreed to an unusual sentence Thursday to avoid jail time for breaking into a neighbor's house." "Peter Camplin, 38, was charged with burglary, but he pleaded guilty to a lesser crime and agreed to sell his home. On Jan. 17th, prosecutors said, a highly intoxicated Camplin jumped from his second-floor window at 12:30 a.m., crashed through his neighbor's door across the street, and started screaming and banging his chest."
" 'The homeowner had a gun,' Chief Richard Darling said. 'A couple of shots went off, and the homeowner was able to get him down on the ground until police arrived.' " |
