If they were really interesting in reducing gun violence, they would push for keeping criminals in jail. Every day I read about some felon caught with a gun, in many cases stolen, and he is released on bail.
Between bail, plea bargains, and probation, the criminals know they won't spend much if any time in prison. You can't change behavior with a slap on the wrist. |
