"The National Rifle Association is holding its annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee, this week, but guns will be banned in a major area of the gathering."
"The NRA broke the good and bad news to its members on its Facebook page:""'During the 2015 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits, lawfully carried firearms will be permitted in the Music City Center with the proper license in accordance with Tennessee law. Bridgestone Arena prohibits the possession of firearms. When carrying your firearm, remember to follow all federal, state and local laws.'" "Some Nashville hotels also do not allow guns." ... |

And this a "change" how ? Its ever been thus in my lifetime. The NRA has always respected the local laws of its convention hosts. It seems some segments of the media are trying, (almost to the point of absurdity), to create a "conflict" where there is none. Hostelries with a "prohibitive policy" regarding CCW or firearms will likely not be patronized by ANRA attendees. That's their economic loss and a small inconvenience to NRA members, who will doubtless remember their names. |
