Breyona McMillian was killed while home for Thanksgiving from boarding school, according to family. She was near her apartment at the Potomac Gardens housing complex in the 1200 block of I Street when she was shot just before noon. "It is our belief that there were several people outside at the time of the shooting," said Peter Newsham, interim D.C. Police Chief. "It appears at least one suspect fired multiple times, indiscriminately during that occasion and, as a result of that reckless behavior, we lost one of our 16 year-old kids."

"Just get rid of the guns."
No.
That's always your half-assed answer, isn't it? GET RID OF THE CRIMINAL BLACKS. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
As an individual, I believe, very strongly, that handguns should be banned and that there should be stringent, effective control of other firearms. However, as a judge, I know full well that the question of whether handguns can be sold is a political one, not an issue of products liability law, and that this is a matter for the legislatures, not the courts. The unconventional theories advanced in this case (and others) are totally without merit, a misuse of products liability laws. — Judge Buchmeyer, Patterson v. Gesellschaft, 1206 F.Supp. 1206, 1216 (N.D. Tex. 1985) |
