Know thy enemy
by Mark Donges
I’ve observed that Gun-Grabbing politicians take great pride in:
-
Their ignorance of what America is all about. Its history, heroes and why it became great.
-
Their emotions, which they use to govern, rather than their intellect.
-
And their ability to fool their constituents into believing that they are Americans. By my definition, they aren’t!
I am numb from the debate and strife of the past six decades with regard to denying Americans their rights. I am past the outrage that once ruled my waking hours. I sit, powerless, (I vote every time and I vote the "right" way too) and watch as great volumes of halitosis is exchanged between those who would enslave Americans and those who beat their chests in proud defiance. I can see where this is all going, can’t you?
What I don’t see is how we, as Americans, could have sunk so low as to dishonor the sacrifice of the brave men and women who died defending old glory.
What I do see is that those engaged in the political arts are now so feminized that they quake at polls like children. What ever happened to leadership, courage, honor, duty. Are those just words used to describe abstract ideas that are no longer useful in our, ever so "evolved" society? Now we have consensus, which by its very definition is the absence of leadership.
These people are the enemy of which
President Lincoln spoke. They are not an invader at our
gates; we’ve put them in charge of the gates. We have given the enemy of America all of the rope necessary to hang us all.
My desire is to mobilize an American fighting force with the sole purpose of driving from America’s shores the evil that is breeding among us. They are carrion feeders, feasting on the bloated corpse of Lady Liberty. Are we to let America end like this?
When will we reach the limit of our collective stupidity? When will we arrive at the point where we all recognize the path we walk? When will we steel our resolve and do what we all know is the right thing to do? Or, perhaps we should just lie down and shut up. Either way, I wish we would stop sitting on the fence.
No one is going to hand us back the freedom which we have given away simply because we ask for it, or wait long enough for it, or because we put our faith in a judicial system that was a party to the continuing loss of our rights.
I need to know what to tell my children. How to prepare them for the future. It will either be spent in servitude, or, if they are lucky, fighting for freedom.
I say we should give our enemy no quarter, allow them no options. Drive them before us without mercy, for they will surely show none if they are allowed to exist.
