Ohioans For Concealed Carry, in cooperation with various grassroots gun rights organizations in the State of Ohio, is requesting that all of our supporters take the time to place a few telephone calls over the next few days, even if you need to call multiple times and both numbers below.

Please take the time to contact the Ohio Criminal Justice Committee Chair Rep. Ann Womer-Benjam (R-Aurora) today, and every other day of the following week. She can be reached at home: (330) 696-4217 or in Columbus: (614) 466-2004. It is imperative that you politely insist that Rep. Womer-Benjamin live up to her promise to give HB225 a second hearing as soon as possible.

Do not let her or any member of her staff fool you into believing the bill is dead. Representative Ann Womer-Benjamin has the power to put HB225 on next week Tuesday's agenda, and she absolutely must hear from you. 

Remember: politely insist.

Wednesday the 13th in Columbus the Civil & Commercial Law Committee will hold proponent testimony for House Bill 274, which is the NRA backed and poorly written concealed carry permit bill. The meeting is in room 114. Together with other grass roots organizations in Ohio we are opposed to HB274 as it was introduced. We respectfully ask that as many of you as possible attend the hearing, but refuse to speak or testify. Be there, but don't become a proponent of the NRA's gun control package.

A sub-committee hearing will be held at 2:30pm in room 313. We also ask that you attend this hearing and not speak. We absolutely MUST fill the seats of both committee rooms as the anti-gun groups are supposedly holding a press conference at 11:00am. They will be there in force, will you be there to help us?

Please help us pass a good CCW bill in Ohio. Without a significant grassroots effort we will not succeed!
