Independence Month Writing Contest Submission Deadlines Extended

July 15, 2001

KeepAndBearArms.com -- We announced at the beginning of Independence Month that we are having a Liberty Essay/Poetry contest. A list of submissions as of this notice is below. Click here for details on the contest.

We have chosen to extend the time period for submitting until the end of the day on July 27th.

We would enjoy hearing from new people. From people who love America and human liberty.

We would enjoy hearing from more women. From people who've never published a thing in their lives.

We'd like to know what is in your heart to say to your fellow liberty advocates.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.... We've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of government himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. — Ronald Reagan
