Gunkit Maker Ordered Detained
Until Sentencing
He's charged $3, plus $1 per minute
to call his wife.

KeepAndBearArms.com -- Arizona gunkit
maker Bob Stewart will remain in the federal prison in Florence, Arizona until
his sentencing hearing, currently scheduled for April 8, 2002. His wife, Naomi,
was notified by phone late yesterday.
Mr. Stewart was found
guilty by a jury of his something-other-than-peers of being a felon in
possession of guns and of possessing unregistered machine guns -- a hundred
years ago, he wouldn't have even been a blip on the government's radar as he's
never committed a crime against a person. But that was before the BATF Gun and
Liberty Thieves started being the raging anti-American hired criminals they are
so adept at being -- back when you could buy a 20mm cannon through the mail, and
a machinegun at the hardware store without even giving your real name. (If
the seller of the machinegun at the hardware store had insisted on your name,
he'd have been considered rude and maybe even told to piss off.)
Naomi Stewart broke the bad news to her husband
when he called some time later -- she can't place calls to him, of course.
Fortunately, she's able to see him. And I do mean see him. "I'm not
allowed to touch my husband at this facility," she explained. "I talk
to him on a telephone and look at him through plate glass. The only thing I'm
allowed to take into the building is my driver's license -- I can't even take a
coat in there."
Take a time machine back a hundred years and
tell this ugly story to the hardware salesman who carries full auto rifles and
he would probably think you were smoking that wacky weed that hadn't yet been
outlawed to create the lucrative, illicit drug trade of all those
"banned" drugs people use every day in America, the ban being so
effective and all. But I digress, as usual.
The Stewarts are looking for a capable attorney
to help draft an effective appeal in hopes of reuniting Mr. Stewart with his
wife and three young boys. They know it's an uphill climb in the 9th Circuit
Court of Appeals -- the court who ruled, absurdly, in California, that the right
of the people to keep and bear arms isn't about the people. One would think that
a judge could read plain English, could read a slew of quotes from the people
who made America America, but I suppose that's too much to expect from people
who administer statutes as if they are above the Constitution and the historical
facts behind the Bill of Rights. Sorry for the rant, I'm feeling sadness for
this good man and his beautiful family -- and a lot of disgust over what used to
be a "justice system."
There are a couple of things you can do to send
some love and support the Stewarts' way...
BUY STUFF FROM THEM
Mrs. Stewart is selling a few things on StewartGallery.net
and Maadi-Griffin.com. Included are
Plan Books for the Maadi-Griffin .50 Caliber Gun Kit the BATF ruined this man's
life over. They also sell Bob's artwork, parts for the .50 (not the
receiver, which has been arbitrarily and capriciously dubbed "a
firearm"), a piece of property and a few other items. Soon, they'll be
selling a boat, a car and perhaps many other things -- that's what happens when
your income goes from upper middle class to nada.
SEND BOB A FRIENDLY LETTER, SUPPORT.
If you would like to send Bob a letter, he'll
surely appreciate hearing from people who know he did nothing wrong.
"Anyone that wants to write him a letter to encourage him would be a big
help," Mrs. Stewart asked me to report. "Just know that anything you
send will be read by the people who run the facility... screened and
censored." You can also send pictures -- not polaroids, as things can be
hidden in them, things like "banned" drugs you can buy down the street
with the "banned" guns you can buy down the street -- and money
orders.
Speaking of money, did you know that in a
federal detention center like the one where yet another red-blooded American is
now staying, you cannot bring your own clothes, your wife cannot send you a good
toothbrush or your favorite shaving cream, that you cannot even bring your
favorite "BATF Thugs Worship Satan" T-shirt? Well, if you didn't, now
you do. You can receive money orders and buy what you require to survive on the
inside, even if you've never harmed a flea in your entire life. And money orders
are the only way to help political prisoners like Bob Stewart buy whatever
inferior crap they peddle. Kinda goes along with the Federal Detention Telephone
Racket they've got going -- for Bob Stewart to call out, according to his wife,
it costs him $3 to make the call and a buck for each minute thereafter, charged
collect to whomever he calls. (No income for the family, and Naomi kinda needs
to talk to her husband a bit these days, as you might imagine, and it probably
wouldn't feel so good on Bob's end to have her refuse charges. Did I mention
that they honestly thought there'd be at least one Real American on the jury and
that he'd be at home with his family right now?)
Here is the exact scribble to put on the
envelope that will be opened by Stewart's jailers:
C.A.D.C. (Central Arizona Detention Center)
Gentleman Robert Stewart (RKBA!) [Note: You don't have to put the
"RKBA!" on there, but I do.]

CONNECT THEM WITH AN ATTORNEY.
If you know someone in the legal profession who
has the skill and attitude to take on these non-Americans in an appeal, touching
base with Naomi would be a really welcome thing to do. Only the serious need
apply, please -- she's got her hands full scrambling to figure out what life
gets to be like now. Use the phone. (480) 325-5623
PRAY FOR THE FUTURE OF WHAT IS LEFT OF
AMERICA
We need it.
Sentencing Hearing, again, is April 8th, in
Judge Roslyn O. Silver's courtroom, Washington & 4th Avenue in Phoenix.
She's got a wide berth on the amount of time she can give him. "We're
praying she's lenient," Naomi said to me, just before we ended the call.
"If we lose an appeal in the 9th Circuit, it could take three years before
our case is heard in the Supreme Court."
AFTERTHOUGHTS
I keep on thinking about something that
happened here in Flagstaff, Arizona recently. In my own neighborhood, actually.
We recently started a Neighborhood Watch program. A couple of very friendly
local police officers came out and helped us figure out a few things about
tightening up security in more a teamlike framework. We traded numbers with
people we hadn't met yet and talked about some of the things that have been
happening in the area.
One of my neighbors reports that he was
awakened at 2am with a light on downstairs. He wasn't sure, but thought it might
be his son returning early for a weekend trip home from college. He thought a
day early was odd, so he went downstairs and found a man in his living room. All
my neighbor took down there was a flashlight. The burglar ran away, unscathed,
and he got away with a few things, too.
My next door neighbor and I shot glances at
each other, knowing we'd be talking as soon as the meeting was over. A former
helicopter pilot in Vietnam, this man is a fairly matter-of-fact guy. "I'd
have smoked him," he said. "Me too," I echoed, smiling,
frustrated that our neighbor had just let some punk go, surely to enter someone
else's home in the middle of the night. (My "I'd have smoked him"
neighbor and I went shooting together a couple of weeks ago. Helluva Patriot,
this one. He and I have a couple of very helpful agreements in place.)
Sure enough. Next Neighborhood Watch meeting, a
couple of weeks later, we hear another report of a middle-of-the-night break-in,
just a stone's throw from the home where our first neighbor let this punk get
away. This time, a woman woke up at 2am with THE SAME GUY standing over her bed.
She screamed, he ran away. Fortunately, the police caught up with him nearby and
busted him.
POINT: The police caught the guy this
time, after two people failed to do their duty. Turns out he'd served time in
prison for, I believe, armed robbery and more than one burglary, and that he'd
been arrested on felony charges EIGHT TIMES.
Guess how long the guy was held in jail? Go
ahead. Take a guess.
ONE DAY.
So how long is Judge Roslyn O. Silver going to
keep Bob Stewart from his boys and his wife? I suppose we'll know on April 8th,
but he's already been in there longer than a guy who goes into women's bedrooms
at 2am and stands over them in the dark.
