Gun Rights Leader Challenges The President

PHOENIX, August 3 / Following was released today by KeepAndBearArms.com

In direct response to an August 2nd press release issued by President Clinton, Angel Shamaya, Executive Director of KeepAndBearArms.com issued a formal challenge to the Commander in Chief to prove his statement to be accurate.

President Clinton's statement, issued through USNewswire, opens his call for more unconstitutional pre-confiscation laws, stating "With our nation losing 10 children to gunfire every day..." and Mr. Shamaya finds this statement to be offensive to the extreme.  "Not only is this statement a blatant lie, anyone with a computer can log onto the FBI and DOJ websites to find out just how large a lie it is," says the self-defense advocate. "This number is dramatically higher than the true number of children who die by gunshot. I represent a large and growing number of lawful, peaceable, long-suffering gun owners who sat by and watched this man perjure himself before a Grand Jury, but I refuse to let this whopper slide past the American people."

According to the Director of the internet-based liberty advocacy organization, President Clinton is "lying through his teeth and he knows it.  He's counting on using this lie as long as he can before somebody calls him on it openly and demands a public retraction." Very angry and insulted that the President can openly lie with impunity in a political ploy to force more gun controls down America's throat, Mr. Shamaya goes on to explain that the real number of children who die by gunshot is so much lower than that he's amazed even the dumbest people believe it. His statement is available for anyone in the press who'd like an interview or further information as to the Truth about the number of children dying by gunshot, and he offers the following statement as a direct, public and Open Challenge to the President of the United States:

"Mr. Clinton, 10 children didn't die today by gunshot in this country. 10 children didn't die yesterday by gunshot in this country. There has not been a day this entire year that 10 children died by gunshot, and you know it. You, sir, are an unprincipled liar, and you should be ashamed of yourself. I challenge you to provide the names of 10 children who died each day in any given week of this entire calendar year, including their names, ages and locations, but I know you cannot do it, and so do you.

"Mr. Clinton, The NRA didn't go far enough when they said you are willing to live with a certain level of violence to achieve your Hitlerian agenda. You invent deaths that never happened and spoonfeed your made-up gun deaths to a media with no integrity because the truth would never convince intelligent people of a need for the type of gun controls you seek to achieve. Frankly, I don't know how you sleep at night, but I do know this, and I say it with a conviction that courses through my veins like lightning: AMERICANS WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP OUR RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. NEVER!!"
