Win Free Guns
by
Kurt Amesbury, J.D.
DirectedFire.com

My name is Kurt Amesbury. I've been a shooter since the tender age of 5, and for as far back as I can remember, my father warned me of the evils of gun control. We've all seen the rapid decay of our civil liberties under the Clinton/Gore administration. I don't think this country can stand another four years of of that and I've decided to try to do something about it. I'm putting my money where my mouth is by putting up $500 to buy some lucky voter a brand new firearm of their choice. (Visit the web site for full details.)

Get out the Vote
I am the creator and first sponsor of the, "Get out the Vote Great Gun Giveaway." The giveaway has two fundamental rules. To win, you have to:

  1. Sign up.
  2. Vote.

Even if you're fed up with politics, even if you don't think your vote can change anything, or you don't think you have time to vote, or you just aren't interested - none of has to matter. Here's a chance to win a free gun. You really want to throw that away?

Other chances to win
Furthermore, you can increase your chances of winning by getting other people to sign up and vote. That can be as simple as putting a link on your web site. One clever fellow put up a link as a posting on a popular firearms discussion board and now has over 60 chances to win! You can do the same thing.

How is it going so far?
The "Get out the Vote Great Gun Giveaway" has been in operation for about four days and just over 400 people have signed up. That puts us on track to send 10,000 pro-gun voters to the polls on November 1st. I want to increase that to 50,000 or more. I think it's possible, but I could use your help.

Sponsors
By the way, this isn't all about a chance to win one gun. We are looking for sponsors, and so far people have been very generous. Gun-wear is donating a gift certificate for pro-Second clothing, the Oregon Firearms Federation is kicking in some cool Tee-shirts and Smart-Carry is donating 4 concealed carry holsters. Just yesterday, Taurus agreed to donate one of their brand-new, can't-even-get-it-in-stores titanium and polymer .45s. We're looking for other sponsors, so if you'd like to have thousands of gun afficiandos made aware of your products and support for the Second Amendment, contact me. This is going to get BIG and we will be reminding folks of your generosity. (Remember, this is only day four. If we continue to get one gun donation every four days from here on out, we'll wind up with more than 20 firearms in the pot, and over 250 other prizes.) If you know someone who might be intereted in sponsoring this event, please ask them to do so!

To get your shot at a free gun, just click on over and sign up.

But whatever you do, don't forget to vote, because

If you don't vote, you can't win!

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. — Noah Webster in "An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution," 1787, in Paul Ford, ed., Pamphlets on the Constitution of the United States, at p. 56 (New York, 1888).
