Strange Bedfellows.
Oregon Firearms Federation

The "Oregon Catholic Conference" has climbed into the political sack with Senator Ginny Burdick and is mailing in support of her gun grabbing initiative.

In an expensive direct mail piece, the "Oregon Catholic Conference" has sent out petitions, misleading "fact sheets" and a letter urging the recipients to help gather signatures to promote Burdick's attack on God given rights.

The organization, which promotes itself as "Representing the Archdiocese of Portland and the Diocese of Baker on issues of public policy" is promoting this assault on your rights using material provided by Burdick which contains outright lies.

The letter is signed by lobbyist Robert Castagna and lists as Board members: Arch Bishop John Vlazny, Bishop Robert Vasa, Rev. Kenneth Steiner and Rev. Gregory Moys.

Castagna can be reached at 503-233-8387 or by fax at 503-235-2630.

If you are Catholic, you may want to take a moment to tell lobbyist Castagna how you feel about his association with someone who, to say the least, lacks sterling Christian credentials.

"and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one" (Luke. 22:36)

What Does the Bible Say About Gun Control by Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America is also a great article.
