A report at Fox News showing the consequences of defunding the police in a major West Coast city may not be going down well with the liberal establishment, but recent history shows how Seattle, Washington has fared from what critics see as a disastrous political agenda that may now be having a ripple effect with crime spreading to other parts of the central Puget Sound region. |

The 5.56mm NATO round has been the gold standard AR-15 cartridge for well over 60 years. It has been the ammo issued to our frontline soldiers for over a generation and has seen combat on 5 continents in the hands of the U.S. Military and our NATO allies.
However, some shooters wanted more out of their AR platform, they wanted the ability to shoot a 30-caliber bullet without switching over to the AR-10 and 308 Winchester. |

I need an AR-15. Let me rephrase that. I need to pay for law school applications. I need to replace the timing belt on my car. I need to finally finish reading “Infinite Jest,” that doorstopper of a book. I want an AR-15 – right now. It’s not so much a need, in the Maslow’s hierarchy sense, but a want, in the “this thing feels awesome to shoot and it’s more accurate than the Chinese SKS I’ve been rocking with since 2020” sense.

While varmint hunting might not be the first thing one thinks of as tactical training, there are many lessons to be learned in the field that can help your defensive plan. At a recent writer’s event with Bushnell, we were presented with long-range instruction using both existing products and a new scope (check this space for info later this year).

Made in Romania, the 9mm WASR-M is billed as a "PCC competition ready" and, while we aren't sure about that, we did find it to be an incredibly fun little Kalashnikov variant. Introduced by Century Arms a few years ago, the WASR-M, like its standard WASR (Wassenaar Arrangement Semi-automatic Rifle) older brothers, are all essentially semi-auto variants of the Cugir Arms Factory's PM md. 63/65 series AKMs, licensed Kalashs that the Romanians made by the hundreds of thousands over the past half-century. |
